Game Overview
An Everyday Story is a story-driven puzzle platformer with a heartfelt twist. A man holds dear three little trinkets, each representing his bond with a loved one… play as a Tin Soldier, a Bat Origami and a Wooden Boat through an adventure to regain lost memories.
- What do you think happens when our dreams become so real to stain our reality? Experience the melancholy of life, needings and wishes, forgiveness, memories, nostalgia, and unravel the backstory of the main protagonist’s family.
- Become agile and swift as the Bat Origami and use the tin soldier’s unique equipment to navigate dangerous environments: As humans travel throughout their lives, so do their trinkets! Explore multiple locations scattered across the globe, each filled by platforming action.
- Use your cunning to resolve puzzles with the mighty wooden boat: Resolve environmental puzzles and use your strengths to overcome everyday obstacles, or ram through them, you have the power…
- Size matters! … but be careful! Being tiny is a double-edged sword: you can slip through narrow passages and avoid most dangers… but you are also very delicate, and anything can stomp you at any time!
- A new reality: Are you ready to delve into your deepest nightmares? Sometimes, memories and fears can manifest in, let’s say, very colourful and dangerous ways.
Installation Instructions
- Click the green button below to be redirected to UploadHaven.com.
- Wait 15 seconds, then click on the “free download” button. Allow the file transfer to complete (note that speeds may be slower with the free plan; upgrading to UploadHaven Pro will increase speeds).
- Once the transfer is complete, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to An Everyday Story” (To do this you must have 7-Zip, which you can get here).
- Open the folder that you just extracted and run the game as administrator.
- Enjoy the game! If you encounter any missing DLL errors, check the Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all necessary programs.

- Check for missing DLL files: Navigate to the
_Redistor_CommonRedistfolder in the game directory and install DirectX, Vcredist, and other dependencies. - Use 7-Zip to extract files: If you receive a “file corrupted” error, re-download and extract again.
- Run as Administrator: Right-click the game’s executable file and select “Run as Administrator” to avoid save issues.
