Game Overview
Broken Tape is a narrative-driven first person walking simulator with the elements of psychological horror, where you take the role of a test subject in a big organization created to find, study and deal with anomalies. You were tasked with a job to locate and eliminate anomalies in a series of old unknown tapes, containing more inside of them than meets an eye.
Forget your origin. Forget everything you knew before this day. You have a job. You have a task. A duty to humanity that must be fulfilled.
- Get In. Find It. Fix It. Get Out: Go through each tape and do your best to spot something out of the ordinary. And if you do, don’t be so quick to run away – you yet have to neutralize it. But be careful – some anomalies might be not so easy to find. Remember – Anomaly Fighting Foundation® has no responsibility for any possible injuries that may occur as a result of Anomaly Research.
- Explore. Look Around. Come Closer: Every second spent inside gives researchers a little more information about what these old, mysterious videotapes actually are. Who knows, maybe your sacrifice will be the last missing piece in the puzzle that others started long before you.

Installation Instructions
- Click the green button below to be redirected to UploadHaven.com.
- Wait 15 seconds, then click on the “free download” button. Allow the file transfer to complete (note that speeds may be slower with the free plan; upgrading to UploadHaven Pro will increase speeds).
- Once the transfer is complete, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to BROKEN TAPE” (To do this you must have 7-Zip, which you can get here).
- Open the folder that you just extracted and run the game as administrator.
- Enjoy the game! If you encounter any missing DLL errors, check the Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all necessary programs.

🛠 Easy Setup Guide
- Check for missing DLL files: Navigate to the
_Redistor_CommonRedistfolder in the game directory and install DirectX, Vcredist, and other dependencies. - Use 7-Zip to extract files: If you receive a “file corrupted” error, re-download and extract again.
- Run as Administrator: Right-click the game’s executable file and select “Run as Administrator” to avoid save issues.
