Game Overview
Program a robot to solve logic puzzles in ChipWits, an open-ended programming game for beginners and experts alike! Inspired by the 1980s original, ChipWits combines the best of puzzle games, automation, and programming to introduce a new generation of players to a classic gaming experience.
Take control of a humble robot, ChipWit Model CW-03.24, and learn the ropes of automating its activities. Place chips to instruct your ChipWit’s movement across the factory floor, building on skills learned in previous areas to solve increasingly complex puzzles to help Professor Chip open his first factory. Order these chips to find a solution to each floor, then press play to watch your ChipWit accomplish its goal!
ChipWits is designed to mimic programming, with no prior experience required. Each puzzle has multiple solutions and can be resolved in unique and clever ways. Experiment with different chip combinations to achieve your goal, and see how your performance compares to the global leaderboard!
Every solution can be optimized to:
- Maximize your score
- Minimize the number of chips used
- Minimize the number of cycles (steps) it takes for your program to run
ChipWits reimagines the original 1984 game of the same name. This reboot offers an accessible introduction to programming, featuring thorough tutorials, familiar automation controls, and a diverse range of puzzle solutions.
Installation Instructions
- Click the green button below to be redirected to UploadHaven.com.
- Wait 15 seconds, then click on the “free download” button. Allow the file transfer to complete (note that speeds may be slower with the free plan; upgrading to UploadHaven Pro will increase speeds).
- Once the transfer is complete, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to ChipWits” (To do this you must have 7-Zip, which you can get here).
- Open the folder that you just extracted and run the game as administrator.
- Enjoy the game! If you encounter any missing DLL errors, check the Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all necessary programs.

🛠 Easy Setup Guide
- Check for missing DLL files: Navigate to the
_Redistor_CommonRedistfolder in the game directory and install DirectX, Vcredist, and other dependencies. - Use 7-Zip to extract files: If you receive a “file corrupted” error, re-download and extract again.
- Run as Administrator: Right-click the game’s executable file and select “Run as Administrator” to avoid save issues.
