Game Overview
The Qaedon Wars saga will tell the story of the people of Qaedon’s fight to restore their world after the Great Cataclysm. This first episode The Story Begins will see your Hero start at Level 1 and begin the journey towards redemption for his/her world.
Loosely based on Dungeons and Dragons Open Game License (OGL 2e) of Wizards of the Coast, the game provides a deep strategy and roleplaying experience as you build and progress your fantasy army through the single player campaign. The Story Begins delivers old-school gaming with retro hand-drawn 2D graphics throughout.
- 50+ hours of game play in Story Mode which allows you to choose which objectives you wish to tackle in a particular Campaign.
- Choose your hero and protect them through the campaign. If your hero dies it’s game over!
- Multiple battle scenarios, all with random objectives and enemies to increase replayability.
- Varying mission types including Attack, Defend, Rescue, Capture, Escort.
- Tactical turn-based battles on hex (overland) or square grids (underground). Battles can last between 30 minutes and 2+ hours.
- Detailed army management between battles where you can improve your units’ skills, get cures or buy new equipment (if you have the cash).
Installation Instructions
- Click the green button below to be redirected to UploadHaven.com.
- Wait 15 seconds, then click on the “free download” button. Allow the file transfer to complete (note that speeds may be slower with the free plan; upgrading to UploadHaven Pro will increase speeds).
- Once the transfer is complete, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to The Qaedon Wars - The Story Begins” (To do this you must have 7-Zip, which you can get here).
- Open the folder that you just extracted and run the game as administrator.
- Enjoy the game! If you encounter any missing DLL errors, check the Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all necessary programs.

🛠 Easy Setup Guide
- Check for missing DLL files: Navigate to the
_Redistor_CommonRedistfolder in the game directory and install DirectX, Vcredist, and other dependencies. - Use 7-Zip to extract files: If you receive a “file corrupted” error, re-download and extract again.
- Run as Administrator: Right-click the game’s executable file and select “Run as Administrator” to avoid save issues.
